PREMIERE: Kat Lee – “Catch & Release”

Known primarily for fronting the Brooklyn group Tiny Gun, artist Kat Lee, as often happens, found herself with a collection of songs that needed to be molded in a more personal format. Thus the Catch and Release EP was born and GroundSounds is premiering its title track below.

The stirring, sweeping single is an intimate indie-folk portrait of Lee taking stock of herself. Lee’s ethereal vocals and the artfully crafted, brilliantly lush arrangement draws you into the intimate space in which “Catch & Release” was created (her bedroom) and, as all great art does, stokes similar contemplations within yourself.
