With ‘Ghosts’ Cindy Jollotta Proves The Past Has a Important Place in Life

By SHARON JENNINGS

Singer-songwriter Cindy Jollotta has resigned herself to accepting the past and brings it with her as she moves ahead.

The talented Jollotta has released the video and song called “Ghosts” and it’s a clever and appropriate story for our time. Jollotta and all singer-songwriters serve society today more than ever, cutting through our tech-heavy, glued-to-the-phone culture to deliver the message.

Regrets Serve to Push us Forward

There may be no room for real eye-to-eye talk in our world, but there is indeed room for regret, which has a role, possibly to push us ahead. There is a soft touch to the song and video that Jollotta brings to the table with “Ghosts.” Jollotta directed and edited the tender video of a woman who has reconciled herself to taking her past with her as she travels.

It is a good effort, with haunting music and beautiful photography, though leaning more towards the melancholy than the upbeat. Forewarning about the future and also looking back to the past have something in common and the intersection is in this video. The video is shot in Kerry County, Ireland, lending a past life feel to the story.

There is a saying that “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it,” but it’s all a lot easier to accept when Jollotta sings about it.
