New Music: Peter, Bjorn and John

If you have heard of the Swedish pop trio, Peter, Bjorn and John, it was probably in the context of their relatively successful single “Young Folks” appearing in every Volkswagon, Sneaker, and Insurance Ad in 2006 and 2007. Well, as with most bands with moderate success, their still at it, and their album Gimme Some came out earlier this year. They are currently on tour in the U.S. now, including 3 shows at three different venues in this writers’ home base of Chicago, IL. To compliment this new album they have recorded a live performance/ staged play/ extended music video in their hometown of Stokholm, Sweden. They perform all of their new songs off the new album very creatively with every song having a different visual theme.
