Hot on the heels of a headbangin’ cover of Kali Uchis’ ‘Telepatía’, Samantha Stone isn’t letting up. Today she released ‘sick and tired’, an angsty track about the frustrating end of a relationship. Stone combines genres beautifully in many other tracks, but this song in particular smoothly blends trap/hip hop percussion with a post-punk sound that really packs a punch.
After building a loyal following throughout the Southern California college market as a solo singer/songwriter performing live in intimate backyard parties, packed house shows, and eventually local clubs and venues, Stone has kept up a consistent evolution of her sound, going from strength to strength as she made a name for herself over the last year.
