Mark Peters and The Dark Band will release the new EP Sum Of All Parts on Jan. 28 and the record does not disappoint.
The new EP is comprised of four songs, each illustrating Peters appreciation for the singer-songwriter folk style.
His new single and video, “Sum Of All Parts” are out now. The title track, “Sum Of All Parts,” is a bluesy vintage song that pays homage to the folk musicians of the 1970s.
Mark Peters and Musical Roots
Peters is one of five kids and grew up in South London in the 1980s. He has a natural affinity for the 1980s music. When he was 9 years old he picked up his dad’s guitar and researched the 1960s music and taught himself how to play. He also started songwriting at an early age.
By the time Peters was in his 20s, he joined up with ‘Seven Breaths’ an indie group in London and stayed with the band for 10 years until 2007. When he hit his 30s, Peters moved into folk and jazz style work, worked on his lyrics and developed into a more mature musician.
He started performing and built a fan base. He soon met Dan Fisher from Audio Heart Records and the duo started working in Vienna on the debut EP Spirits.
