In a world over saturated with monotonous pop music, emerging singer/songwriter KOLE challenges the notion that all pop music is created equal. Her most recent single “Let It Burn” is a triumph of genre fusion. KOLE, a multi-instrumentalist and LA native, was trained at UCLA’s Ethnomusicology program. This track, comes after her debut single “Wildflower”, that accumulated over 200,000 streams across all platforms in just 6 months. We feel that “Let It Burn” will have the same success as its successor. The record features a similar genre blending charm, melodic vocals and catchy hook. The track begins with a percussive synth and drum combo. The listener is then greeted by her unique and lovely vocals. As the song goes on, the whole band joins in – guitar, piano, synth and drums to create a very powerful sound that we can’t get enough of. Give the track a listen, and be sure to catch KOLE at the Peppermint Club in LA on June 15, links to tickets and the single are down below.
