Take a listen to the astonishing debut solo EP from talented musician, producer, and songwriter Jeff Kolhede. It’s a solid 6-track EP that includes the best parts of Pop, Soul, Alt-Rock, Jazz, and Folk-Rock. The lyrics are intricate, meaningful, and tell interesting stories. The songs give true insight into his feelings of anxiousness, love, confusion, perseverance, and the beauty and complexity of life literally “unfolding” before him. There truly isn’t a song you’d want to skip on this EP and that is rare.
Jeff is no stranger to creating great sounding music, coming from LA-based soul/hip-hop collective Balance and the Traveling Sounds. He was known for his incredibly melodic saxophone nuances, synth abilities, and vocal prowess. This all comes through in his new EP in some form or another. Though the group recently disbanded, that hasn’t stopped him from building on that foundation, as well as creating new sounds that cross genres and vibes from track to track.
