We’re excited to share with you the new album from Bay Area artist Evelyn Rose! Written during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Evelyn’s new album explores themes of isolation and heartbreak.
She says of her new work, “every day I become more and more awed by our human ability to move past heartbreak and to continue to find and give love, and I wrote these songs to explore and celebrate that idea.” A compendium of heart-wrenching ballads and jazzy, upbeat pop songs, the album expresses love, regret, heartache, and hope, ultimately delivering a message of optimism: that our most difficult moments can lead to growth, opportunity, and a renewed sense of self.
The album also sounds great thanks to the best mixing/mastering engineer in the game, Bijan Sharifi. “Bijan and I spent about a year and a half working on this project. Along the way I scrapped a few songs, added others, and eventually ended up with the 12 that we have on the record. It was a really fluid process, and I’m so thankful to Bijan for working with me along the way. I learned so much about how to adapt and how to have an open mind.”
