Oakland-based Rock duo KATZROAR, consisting of Katy Avila & Rory Matthews, recently released their debut album titled Invocation and we can’t stop listening to it. This project sounds really incredible and it’s clear that they know how to create some solid psychedelic soul. I would try to describe it more, though honestly the music speaks for itself and they put it quite well on their bandcamp page with the idea that “we’re aiming to create music that moves you, poetry that tells truth, art that alchemizes the light and the shadows.” That’s dope and we can get behind that.
