From Berlin, Germany, Sonia Stein has a brand new single out with ‘Zoom Out’ Acoustic version. With the acoustic version, it really puts an emphasis on the piano with the keys seemingly gelling to her voice and lyrics. Compared to the original, ‘Zoom Out’ Acoustic version is a little less energy, but that energy is changed into raw emotion as well as a focus on the core of the song.
The last couple of years have been busy for singer-songwriter Sonia Stein as she finished up a sold out World Tour with global acclaimed artist DIDO at the end of 2019. In addition to the release of her EP See Me Now at the start of 2020 with longtime collaborator producer Liam Howe (FKA Twigs, Adele, Jessie Ware). See Me Now was a perfect showcase of Sonia’s songwriting and extensive vocal range that fans across the globe have come to love, which included hit single “London Used to Feel So Cool” and “Coexist” produced by Brendan Davies (Dagny, Jordan Mackampa, Bryde) and “Passerby” produced by Liam Howe (FKA Twigs, Adele, Jessie Ware). Then Sonia finished the year with the release of her Letters EP, during lockdown in the UK, which included singles “Philosophical”, “Bad Dream”, “Never Leave You”, “Letters To You” and “Pain In The Ass”. Now in 2021, putting out ‘Zoom out’ in July, and releasing the acoustic version today. It has been crazy for everyone this past year and a half, but Sonia has shown that even in the darkest of times. You can continue to grow, and work on your passion.
Stein Away Sessions came about during lockdown. It was an idea to “go on tour” without performing for venues full of people. It combines my love and appreciation for beautiful places in nature and strips down my songs to their very basics which is how they all begin. – Sonia Stein on her live sessions she did during the lockdown.
