From Las Vegas, Nevada, Tarralyn Ramsey brings an acoustic version of her song, ‘Jesus, We Need You’ out today! The song is quite powerful, which you expect from gospel music. This song being acoustic brings a deep emotional connection from the lyrics with Tarralyn’s voice, and even the feel of the instruments behind, especially the piano. Tarralyn being a pop singer, as well as a song writer, has been at this since she released her self titled debut album at the age of 13. The amazement in that is incredible, and really amazes with her voice in ‘Jesus, We Need You’.
Tarralyn on the goal with the Acoustic version, “I found myself wanting to get into a more intimate space with people with this version of the song . It felt right to strip it down to just the heart and soul of the record which is a microphone, piano, a guitar and just sing. The words and message are clear, I believe, and I feel like my heart shows on this version even more due to the simplicity of it. I want people, all people , even the ones who don’t believe, to be touched by this song. You can apply it however you want, as long as you apply it. There’s so much going on in the world day in and day out, I wanted people to be inspired and realize that there’s hope, all isn’t lost, and that there’s someone you can always run to even when you feel like there’s nowhere to run”
Music has been a passion in Tarralyn Ramsey’s life from a young age. That passion
bloomed when she was signed to a recording deal at the tender age of thirteen.
Throughout her successful career Tarralyn has had the honor of performing at
legendary venues like Carnegie Hall, MGM Grand, in addition to sharing the stage
with icons like Ashanti, Pat Benatar, Lisa Marie Presley, Stevie Wonder, Whitney
Houston and Beyonce. In addition to being chosen to go on tour with Mary J. Blige on
her “No More Drama Tour.” She also performed on Seventeen Magazine/Pantene
“Total You” tour, “The BET College Tour” and more! Over the years Tarralyn has
garnered accolades from magazines such as Vibe, Ebony, Jet, People, Seventeen in
addition to an appearance on ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT.
