Singer, Songwriter, and travel Vlogger Claire Hawkins has a brand new song out with, ‘Small Doses’. From the New York, Claire has been waiting quite a while to share this song with the world. Due to this song being the last song she had written before the pandemic. ‘Small Doses’ is a song that has an upbeat vibe that tells a different story from the voyages she sings of on her last EP, Foreign Voice, which was toured in Europe on Foreign Voices Travelers Tour making the title quite true. Hawkins has always believed that music and travel are two of the best ways to bring people together, and the Foreign Voices Travelers Tour proved that to be true. ‘Small Doses’ is a song is a love song, and it really is a song to listen to when your having a tough day to let loose to enjoy the day.
Claire goes to explain how the song is Love song, “I’m not really one to write a love song. That’s just not where my interest typically lies as a songwriter. I’m fascinated with this idea of hook-up culture and the way it’s so prevalent among young people. I’ve particularly felt that, as a woman, there’s this tension around wanting to defy certain societal expectations, but worrying there’s a risk of losing a bit of myself in the process.”
