63rd Grammy Awards right around the corner

 

With the 63rd Grammy Awards finally happening March 14th on CBS, Looking back at the songs that were released in late 2019 and 2020. Hosted by Daily Shows Trevor Noah. With performances by Bad Bunny, Black Pumas, Cardi B, BTS, Brandi Carlile, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Mickey Guyton, Haim, Brittany Howard, Miranda Lambert, Lil Baby, Dua Lipa, Chris Martin, John Mayer, Megan Thee Stallion, Maren Morris, Post Malone, Roddy Ricch, Harry Styles, and Taylor Swift.

 

As the Grammys are starting up they’re bringing in new categories being applied for the award ceremony in replacement for previous ones, Best Urban Contemporary Album has been renamed “Best Progressive R&B Album. Best Rap/Sung Performance has been renamed Best Melodic Rap Performance. Latin Pop Album have been renamed Best Latin Pop or Urban Album and Best Latin Rock Or Alternative Album. There is no longer a specified maximum number of releases prohibiting artists from entering the Best New Artist category, and Best World Music Album changed to Best Global Music Album. These changes were made to be more fair and transparent with the voting guidelines. To be more inclusive and adaptive for the artists.

 

Groundsounds unfortunately wont be able to attend the Grammys this year but are super excited to watch the nominees and winners of this years Grammys, take the stage, continue the traditions and continue to make history.
