Montreal-based artist Satya called in from a snowy wonderland last week to talk about her new single. Following her release of the club hit ‘Maybe We Should’, Satya has put together another bassy, dance-able track called ‘In Trouble’ produced by Domeno that has been stuck in my head for days.
Abandoned at birth in Morocco, Satya was dealt a bad hand very early on, but being adopted and brought to live in Canada changed her life. She fell in love with singing and performing at a very young age, and is now focused on being herself and spreading positivity. On moving forward, Satya said,
“We are all survivors of what we have experienced, but our past does not
define us. We own our futures.”
