Did somebody say something about “The Office”? Because here comes a song written about two of the characters. Toronto based artist, Peter Drucker has released a new song called, ‘Jim and Pam’. The song is a soft upbeat rhythm, and has a romantic touch with the lyrics.
Songwriter turned accidental frontman; Peter has developed a style that loosely threads the line between an out-of-phase Kanye blended with “Montana” era John Mayer. He creates melodies with infectious enthusiasm, and a lyrical intensity spanning well crafted collection of glimpses, into his mind.
Now Peter has a very interesting thing about him, and making this song, “The song is named “Jim and Pam” after the famous dynamic duo from The Office. However… I’ve genuinely never seen a single episode of this show. I view them as the modern day version of Bonnie and Clyde and feel that we need to embrace clichés. My friends are often scared of becoming one and that confuses me. Why does feeling the same way as millions of people immediately make you feel tired or re-used?
Youthful and ambitious, Peter bursts onto the scene 2018, with an armory of tracks ranging from electric guitar driven synth-pop, to catchy, heartfelt string-centered ballads; all aided by a uniquely soulful voice and a dominant sense of groove that leaves listeners mumbling choruses into the night.
He is performing and writing every chance possible, honing and developing his craft by working with local and global talents such as Laguil (J-SOUL, DVBBS & lil Baby), Roy Hamilton III (George Nozulka, Mia Martina) & Kevin Howley (of Running Red Lights). Quarantine has been a time of intense work and production, retreating into a world of his own creation, trying to both externalize the anxiety of isolation, and act as a balm for both artist and listener.
