Dr. Dre Admitted To ICU After Brain Aneurysm, Then Targeted for Burglary

Legendary producer and music mogul Dr. Dre was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday, where he is currently being treated for a brain aneurysm. Dr. Dre, born Andre Young, is reportedly in stable condition, but the cause of the aneurysm is still unknown.

Condolences and well wishes from peers like LL Cool J, Ice Cube, and more have been flooding in since the news broke.

A statement from Dre was posted to his Instagram account on Tuesday evening:

“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes,” read the statement. “I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”

As if that wasn’t enough, Dre’s Brentwood home was the site of an attempted burglary Tuesday night while he was hospitalized.

Police initially believed the suspects may have been targeting Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’ house which is in the same area. But investigators determined that Dre’s house, previously owned by Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, was the actual target.

Authorities say the burglars would bang on fences and doors before breaking into homes. The group attempted to break into Dr. Dre’s home around 10 p.m. but were scared off by security, according to LAPD. During surveillance in Brentwood, officers spotted an SUV believed to be connected, and after a short chase, the suspects were apprehended. Four men were arrested on charges of attempted burglary and taken into custody.
