It has been almost a year since D Smoke came out with his debut album, Black Habits, and they now have released a video to the popular track ‘Closer to God’ featuring SiR. Both D Smoke and Sir are from Inglewood, California. The video has both D Smoke and SiR in a church, and flashes between the two of them praying in pews and D Smoke getting baptized.
Black Habits has been nominated for Best Rap Album in the upcoming 2021 Grammy Awards. This was the perfect reason for D Smoke to come back to his debut album and give something visual for people to watch while they listen to ‘Closer to God’. D Smoke says that Black Habits is a collection of his personal moments and experiences.
