Mother Yeti has an odd name but the music is anything but unusual. The band which hails from the Pacific Northwest has created a cool sound with the new album My Best Please.
With My Best Please, Mother Yeti has released an album that is simple in its approach but adds the sounds that the youth market wants: Shoegaze, mellow Americana and psychedelia.
The new album by this West Coast band is a solid accomplishment. Bill Tracy, the ringleader of this talented group is a Renaissance guy who plays every instrument, and he has a unique outlook on life as evidenced by his songs.
It is Tracy who performs vocals, bass, guitar, drums, and keyboards on almost all the tracks. But Tracy and friends trade off mostly on keys. His pals Zachary Calkins steps in on the keyboards for the title track, and Cooper Trail is on “Push The Weather.” Jim Rizzuto keeps the beat on “Wanted It Funny,” while Joseph Hein picks up bass and Zack Degler performs vocals and guitar on the record. Producer is William Jay Tracy.
