UK based singer/songwriter Sammi Elston is a breath of fresh air for those who enjoy a catchy hook line along with the authenticity of artists from the 60’s. Inspired by the greats such as Stevie Nicks & Joni Mitchell, Sammi writes from the heart and manages to evoke stories through her starry eyed dark dreamy pop songs whilst adding her own modern twist.
After falling in love with the Beatles, Sammi moved to Liverpool and not only played the world famous Cavern Club, but even had a nod from the great Sean Lennon who complimented her voice.
Sammi’s latest single “Heartless” was co-produced with her full time live band member Adam Barry & recorded by Matt O’Grady (Producer of You Me At Six, Deaf Havana & Portia Conn). We are thrilled to bring you the exclusive premiere of “Heartless” – streaming below! The track has some serious power, and Sammi’s vocals are perfection. We’re excited to be able to share this one.
In her own words:
“I had just quit my job, gave up my house, sold all my belongings & decided to pack up and head over to LA for a while. I went to a bands show in Hollywood & ended up on tour with them for a few days. I wrote heartless on the train ride back, I was having a come down from being on the road & returning to normal life. I think Heartless encompasses everything that LA is…it’s conflicted because it’s full of guts & vulnerability at the same time”
