Miss Cactus and the Desert have released the video “Dating School,” an adorable performance that brings out the best of the 1970s Latin rhythms.
“Dating School” is an upbeat song that blends jazz with a Latin beat and it has a funky retro vibe. The video is masterfully produced by Peter Woo and the different styles and segments within the work make it feel like a mini feature film.
With its style emulating a low-budget 1970s flick, the video for “Dating School” actually highlights a range of styles for performers and the videographer.
The song delves into how the taboos of the parents are perhaps no longer forbidden as relationships take their own path. “Dating School” is feminist without being overdone.
