Chris Lastovicka knows teamwork is the basis for all great projects.
So the modern classical musician assembled some of the best in the business to put together a new remix of “Fortune Has Turned” a new-age classical piece that is thoroughly emotion evoking.
Lastovicka, who has created some majestic sounding orchestration knows that collaboration is the key to success.
Part of the charm about this new version of “Fortune Has Turned” remixing project is Lastovicka’s long-harbored wish to team with the renowned engineer-producer Jeremy Allom actually came true.
Allom has worked with the top names in the business from Nina Hagen to The Specials to Peter Gabriel and David Bowie.
Lastovicka also procured the services of Emily Lazar for mastering.
“When I looked for a mastering engineer, I wanted to get someone who would understand the sonic imperfections of the recordings and how I felt they mirrored the rough experience of seeking the Self,” Lastovicka said.
Lastovicka said Lazar brings with her the early background in creative writing, and for her ability to “to tell the story of an album through her mastering work.”
Lastovicka describes “Fortune Has Turned (Remixed)” as the journey from deep suffering to the fullness and freedom of the heart.
“It is a quest to find the Self,” Lastovicka said. “I asked Jeremy Allom to take the original, raw recordings for this album and bring out their vitality with his own powerful, creative stamp.”
