NJ’s Levy & The Oaks are a band to watch. “It was written shortly after the last presidential election. Everyone I came into contact with had this dreary look on their face. As if something terriable had happened. It’s a survivor’s anthem to me. How it never helps when someone tells you, ” You’ll be fine. You gotta get over it eventually.” It doesn’t work that way. “Happiness is easy” is a sarcastic line at the beginning of the song. Yet, by the end it is a hopeful slogan to help ease a burden that might never go away.”
“Happiness Is Easy” is the survivor’s anthem. It’s our hopeful slogan to help ease your burdens (whatever your burdens may be).
