Brandon Prinzing & the Old Revival is a four-piece folk punk group from Bend, Oregon. Inspired by classic Americana, the intricacies of metal and the defiant energy of punk rock, Brandon Prinzing combine
“Nerve” is the opening track on the album, and we are excited to premiere it today on GroundSounds. Right from the jump this song grabs you. Brandon’s vocals capture your ears immediately. There are certain singers that have the natural ability to inject intense emotion in every word…Chris Carrabba (Dashboard Confessional), AJ Perdomo (The Dangerous Summer), Nick Thomas (The Spill Canvas), and Jarrod Gorbel (The Honorary Title) come to mind. Let’s add Brandon Prinzing to that list. The song’s urgency, instrumentation, and huge hook will have you replaying this for days. We are excited to have a part in sharing this song with the world. Turn it up loud and be prepared to sing along.
In his own words:
“Nerve is a song about defiance. Fighting back when you know you are probably going to lose, and being ok with that. This song comes from that place, and it’s for every person stuck there right now who wants to sing along for 3 minutes and remind themselves that to fight makes us feel alive.
This was the first track we recorded for the album, and it set the tone from day one. The sound Aaron was able to create and craft personified the attitude I had when I wrote it, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It’s a battle cry and a middle finger, and it’s what I love about Rock n’ Roll.”
