We’re quickly becoming big Craig Paddock fans. Last month we premiered his video for “Old and Grey” and today we’re thrilled to premiere his new track “I Got A Feeling” – streaming below!
Life has a way of throwing some rough shit at you every now and then, and “I Got A Feeling” is an honest track from the New Orleans songwriter about dealing with those moments and features vocals from Los Angeles based singer-songwriter, Rachel Fannan, with Brett Farkas on lead guitar and Tommy King (HAIM) on Piano. The track showcases Paddock’s fantastic vocals and ability to craft big hooks. The instrumental touches and harmonizing with Fannan really push this track to a new level.
In his own words:
“At the same time that year, one of my best friends in Los Angeles was going through a divorce, so I felt like she needed a song. I ended up writing the verses last, and I pretty much put myself in her world and wrote down exactly what was actually going on for her. So it only made sense to bring in a great female vocalist for the second verse when it came time to record the song.”
