With “11 Words” we challenge artists to boil down our questions into one word answers. It makes for an interesting exercise and sometimes brings out unexpected answers. On the “final word” artists can elaborate a bit, so fans get a little insight at the end. Today we interview Brooklyn legends We Are Scientists. Their awesome new album MEGAPLEX comes out Friday – so with our questions we simply wanted to find out what one word best describes each song on the new album, enjoy!

    1. One In, One Out: sumptuous

    2. Notes In A Bottle: perennial

    3. Heart Is A Weapon: funky

    4. Your Light Has Changed: blistering

    5. KIT: opioid

    6. No Wait At Five Leaves: motorik

    7. Not Another Word: effervescent

    8. Now Or Never: subterranean

    9. You Failed: groovy

    10. Properties Of Perception: great

    11. [Final Word] We’re told you both did stand-up comedy before starting the band. Even though it won’t a written joke doesn’t do it justice, Keith: what was Chris’ worst joke? Chris: what was Keith’s worst joke? If you could only watch one comedy special for the rest of time, which one would you choose?

Chris’ worst joke is: “What is the difference between a cow  ice cream?” “Ice cream’s contents are enclosed by waffle, and a cow waffles when you ask him to disclose his contents!”
Keith’s worst joke is: “What’s the difference between a truffle pig and hippies?” “The pig grunts and ruts *before* he finds the mushrooms!”
Our eternal comedy special is: Norm MacDonald’s “Me Doing Standup.”

Be sure to grab the new album on Friday and connect online for more!
