Snow Villain is the alt-rock project of Pennsylvania artist Grant Goldsworthy. He has been involved in the music industry for almost 15 years and has performed with different bands across Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Boston and New York. Goldsworthy started to play with other musicians around Philadelphia, New York and Harrisburg, and decided it was time to initiate his own project as Snow Villain in 2015. The project evokes the darkness of Death Cab For Cutie, Smashing Pumpkins, St. Vincent and Nine Inch Nails, and the bounciness and eccentricity of Weezer, Ween and Beck.
Today we’re thrilled to premiere the video for “Torches” from his upcoming EP, out next month. The videos old footage provides the perfect visual atmosphere for the song’s urgency and “call to arms” message. This one deserves your full screen and loudest volume.
In their own words:
“While in jest, the song is a remark on our government. We wanted to piece together something that felt dark, and sullen, but also is poignant, and accurate. I hope you like it.”
