Southern California duo Fawns of Love is comprised of husband and wife team Jenny and Joseph Andreotti. Their new 7″ is out today and consists of “Zine Days” and “Something Stupid.” The new 7″ arrives a year after the band’s debut album Who Cares About Tomorrow, and is the follow-up to its mid-2017 single release “Falling/Standing,” which Paste called a “dreampop gem,” and was honored as one of the best songs of the year by Los Angeles-based radio show Part Time Punks and venerable indie rock bible The Big Takeover. We are excited to premiere their new video for “Something Stupid” below! The vintage animation provides a fitting visual to the chill airiness of the track. The duo describe the inspiration below.

In their own words:

“One of our favorite things to watch are vintage informational films. ‘Something Stupid” draws from ‘Curious Alice’ (1968), which was created by the National Institute of Mental Health with the intent to inform 8-10 year olds about the negative effects of drug and alcohol use. Ironically, it’s a beautiful, trippy film that defeats its’ own purpose, and reminds us a lot of one of our favorites, the 1977 Japanese film ‘House.'” – Joseph Andreotti
