Back in November, we interviewed the Brooklyn-based future-funk group Pink Flamingo Rhythm Revue ahead of the release of their debut, self-titled EP. That excellent short player debuted last week and to celebrate, the group fronted by Eric “Doc” Mendelsohn is sharing a wonderfully hazy live clip of single “Cocktails, Lies & Cheap Romance.”
Although holding true to the official recording on the EP, Pink Flamingo Rhythm Revue adds some punch to the track in the live recording further showcasing the quality of the music and the talent of its performers. NYC-based readers can groove to “Cocktails, Lies & Cheap Romance” on January 18th at the official EP release show at Mercury Lounge.
