We’re never surprised by the incredible music coming out of Denmark these days. It seems like there is something in the air over there that just breeds creativity and art. We certainly can’t wait for an excuse to go for a visit. Well, today, we have a truly beautiful single from Copenhagen-based artist August Rosenbaum, known for both his solo work and his many collaborations (Rhye, Quadron, Robin Hannibal etc.).
His new single “Calling Out,” featuring Philip Owusu on vocals, is a kaleidoscope of immaculate vocal harmonies, slow bass lines, and smooth, wavy synths that make you float in his world for just a moment. Also, when the horn section comes in right before the minute mark – it just doesn’t get much better than that sound. This is one of our new favorites FOR SURE and you can bet we’ll have this album on repeat when it comes out on November 24th.
