Jayden Stuart Talks Growing As An Artist & Future Goals!

We chopped it UP with Vegas’ own Jayden Stuart about his recently released EP, the music scene in Las Vegas and why he loves Hennessy!

Whats the word player! Preciate you choppin’ it up w me here. When did you realize you wanted to make music & how long have you been at it?!

Probably when I was like 13, the first time I seen Kid Rock perform, but I would say a solid 3 years and I mean like me taking it serious.

What has been the highlight of your career thus far?

I would say either opening up for Migos because it was the biggest show number wise or dropping my Ep, “Lost & Found” on iTunes just recently.

What would you say are some of the struggles of being an independent artist?

I would say time management for me. I like to be everywhere at once and I like being on the move, but other than that, this shits fun because I’m my own boss.

You’re a Vegas native and resident — describe the Vegas music scene from your point of view..

I don’t know honestly, it’s still being created… We’re getting more and more different sounds. There’s a couple of local people who throw great shows and bring out awesome talent to Vegas. So there’s people out here at least trying to create a wave. Vegas is always late to stuff like this.

You just dropped an EP, “Lost & Found” — what was the inspiration behind the title??

My last year of my life has probably been the craziest year of my life. I’ve had the most fun in the craziest cities and I’ll forever be grateful for the memories. I just felt like I was running away from priorities and reality, I felt lost.  After a couple months of keeping my mind in the right place and investing in myself I started to find myself and everything started to fall into place for me. “Lost & Found” is for anyone who’s trying to find them myself, there’s no rush.

You also just dropped the visual for my favorite song on the project, “Call Me” — didn’t know you could hit the melodies but I’m definitely a fan. Keep at it please! 

My voice is starting to settle more so be on the look out for different types of genre in the future, I want to do it all.

What makes Hennessy better than any other liquor??

I honestly don’t get hangovers from it or get too fixed. It’s the perfect kind of drunk for me, I can’t do vodka.

Favorite strand of marijuana…

Blue Dream or Any OG. There’s way too many to pick from.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years??

On a beach with a corona.

What is the hardest thing about being an artist?

Not getting recognition you think you deserve.

If you could tell the readers one thing, what would it be?

Go out and find yourself. Don’t listen to anyone else’s opinion, just do what’s right for you and go live. You’ll hate yourself if you don’t go out and experience as much as you could when you get older so go Travel, go out of your comfort zone and be sporadic. Don’t be afraid to take a chance or a leap of faith.
