We’re really digging Los Angeles folk/pop trio The Furious Seasons lately. They just put out a new single entitled “Longshot” from their new album Look West. The album concept was born out of months of 3-piece shows played in Southern California, including shows in support of John Hiatt, David Lindley and A.J. Croce. Some of the tracks were recorded live by Scott Campbell in a home studio in Hollywood set up for Shelby Lynne to record. Others were recorded with Tim Boland at White Light Studios in North Hollywood. The album is the band’s 5th and is a warm and personal set, highlighting two part harmonies and Paul Nelson’s agile guitar playing. The album is slated for an Oct 7th release.
