New York-based alternative band, The Insurrectionists, are gearing up for their upcoming album, IGave You The Moon But You Wanted The Stars, which is set to drop on January 22nd. Featured on the LP is the fresh new track “Diet Coke,” the accompanying visuals are premiering exclusively on GroundSounds.

Casey K. the multi-instrumentalist and singer behind The Insurrectionists had this to say about the latest video:

“This video is something that we 3 friends and co-conspirators made entirely ourselves. With a song as different from our comfort zone as this, it was important for me that we use the video to convey the mood of the song, and not tell a story. The song itself tells a (to me) very specific story, and the music shapes and molds a very specific mood, and to counter that would be to neglect what makes the song what it is. So we spent some time bouncing around the beautiful NYC at night, caught a sunrise, tore my house apart, wore matching outfits, and danced around for a couple of hours. This may not be a Michael Bay film, but I’m extremely proud of it. We take the music seriously, but we don’t take ourselves all that seriously, and that shines thru.”
