New Jersey based duo Bern & The Brights (Bernadette Malavarca and Catherine McGowan) are gearing up for the release of their forthcoming EP, Heart Wide Open. The EP will officially be released tomorrow, however GroundSounds is here to give you a little taste of the sonic goodness that is to be expected. Premiering today is the duo’s chill and uplifting track “Keep Yourself Together.”
Bernadette had this to say about the duo’s latest single:
“Catherine and I wrote this song together. ‘Keep Yourself Together’ is a song of support, encouragement, and empathy for those who have ever felt rejected or bullied for simply being who they are and not fitting into the boxes society wants to cram them into; we especially have the queer community in mind and especially queer youth.”
