New Zealand based pop artist Denelle is gearing up for the release of his upcoming EP ‘Imperfectly Perfect,’ due later this year. Featured on the project is the fresh new track “Staring At You,” the song oozes mellow vibes and is now premiering exclusively on GroundSounds.
Denelle had this to say about his latest single:
“‘Staring At You’ is a very smooth, house influenced track fused with elements of R&B. I started messing around with some chords on the keyboard and tweaked the sound a bit to get that cool blues organ vibe. The house vibes were really hitting me so it felt right to go down that path musically. From there, the vocal melody came pretty naturally. The chorus vocals worked out really nice with the harmonies and I’m really happy with the outcome.”
“Staring At You” will be available as a free download starting August 31st. For those in the LA area, Denelle will be playing a free showcase at SIR LA on Wednesday, September 2nd, at 7PM.
