After a slew of shows supporting the likes of Hozier, Hiatus Kaiyote, Jamie Cullum and Mighty Oaks, Berlin based indie/folk artist Jackson Dyer took some time to hit the studio and is now premiering his laid-back fresh new track “Steal Away,” exclusively on GroundSounds.

This single sees the Australian singer/songwriter move towards a more mature, band-oriented sound, Dyer had this to say about his latest single:

“Steal Away is a song of escapism, written on a cold Berlin day while I was quite homesick and yearning for the ocean and a break from the concrete of the city. My family has an old beach house on the coast a few hours north of Sydney by car, which has been a place of cherished memories since my great grandfather bought it many years back. Situated in a quiet, coastal town, it has acted as a summer retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life for, as three generations have spent nights on the beach under the stars and hours out in the surf. This song is about escaping to this modest beach house for a break at one of my favourite places in the world.”
