Stephen Bruner is Thundercat, producer, singer and bass player from Los Angeles, California. The multi-talented Bruner, most gifted in crafting funky bass lines, has worked with Flying Lotus, Erykah Badu, Kamasi Washington and thrash metal band Suicidal Tendencies. Thundercat has recently contributed to Kendrick Lamar’s acclaimed album, To Pimp a Butterfly. Thundercat’s mini-album, The Beyond / Where the Giants Roam, comes out on Monday, June 22 via label Brainfeeder. “Them Changes,” the third track on the album, features a funky bass driven beat and Bruner’s smooth vocals.You can catch Thundercat at the Low End Theory Festival on July 8th in Los Angeles.
