Take a listen to the relaxing new single from Tokyo-based singer/songwriter Arthur Fowler. Fowler was born on the East Side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and naturally gravitated towards the blues jam scene in the early 80s. He has regularly toured with jazz ensembles and played original music as well, including frequent solo performances in the U.S. as well as in cities around Japan. The track below is the perfect introduction to his sound. Beginning with bright guitar strums and clean vocals over the top make for a really nice song. It’s got a solid groove, allowing room for nice guitar licks. The harmonies are on point and the percussion is subtle and creates a pleasant environment for the guitars to fill the space. With influences such as Neil Young, Wes Montgomery, Jimi Hendrix, psychedelic icon Jerry Garcia, and Latino megastar Carlos Santana, his songs evoke a “let go” type of feeling or a “just go with it” mentality.
