Indie pop rockers Fitz and The Tantrums recently brought their unique blend of old school soul and modern-day sound to Columbus, Ohio, for a high-energy performance at the packed LC Pavilion.
After an ear-catching opening set from up-and-coming electro-rock upstarts Big Data, band founder Michael Fitzpatrick blazed through a blitz of Fitz favorites, including “Out of My League,” “Breaking’ the Chains of Love” and “Fools Gold” before treating everyone at the sold out LC to a slithery rendition of the Eurythmics “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This).”
The crowd went home happy after a rafter-rattling encore mashup of “MoneyGrabber” and “TheWalker,” with Fitz and company putting the glossy polish on yet another glittering live performance.
