FKA Twigs captivates at Terminal West

FKA Twigs doesn’t just “put on a show”, she breathes life into your limbs, and holds your attention with a sultriness that defies convention. Tuesday night, Atlanta was lucky enough to play host to the fast rising songstress, whose carefully composed entrance to the stage, complete with light and fog, was a performance itself.

The U.K. native belted out a string of hauntingly illicit songs that held the crowd captive on her every note and body movement. Both soothing and eclectic and accompanied by minimal band, FKA Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, kept the crowd engaged with a diverse light show and brilliant dance moves to add to her performances of favorites like “Water”, “Papi Pacify” from EP2, and “Two Weeks”. Song after song, she swayed, covered all ends of the stage and methodically transformed the humble Terminal West stage into a prop for her hypnotizing performance. Although, as with most shows, the audience watched through their phones but not even the overuse of camera phones could distract from the solid prowess of the singer’s overall stage presence. Check out some of the clips from her performance below!
