A burgeoning indie-scene is manifesting in middle America. One band in particular breaking out of the midwest is Bummers. The Columbus, Ohio based alt-rock band has caught our attention in a big way, as they continue to build buzz and hone their sound.

The guys recently dropped their debut self-titled album Bummers, founding Bummer Chris Steris had this to say about the new album:

Recording our new record was a really rad experience. We recorded the whole thing live in the studio and tried to get weird in as many areas as we could. Ideas to make songs better or bigger were always popping up. One of the songs, “Lucky,” we totally re-wrote in the studio and changed the vibe up completely. Having a producer that sees the vision and is ok with trying new ideas was a crucial part of getting this album to sound like we wanted it to.
