With so much happening in LA all the time, it’s definitely hard to keep track of every event and every act coming through town. Unfortunately, we can only be at one place at a time (though I’m working on how to be at two). This is one of those times where you need to stay sharp and stay up, for it would be a shame for you to miss such a special and truly once in a lifetime event. It’s occasions like these that are monumental in the stages of emerging artists before they achieve their huge goals and the major payoff comes. For me, personally, I feel that this will happen next year for Grace Weber. Her official West coast release party of The Refinery, the second full-length release from the East coast soul singer, is happening tomorrow night at Hotel Cafe and you need to be there.
We’ve been a fan of Weber ever since we heard her stunning original track “Perfect Stranger” from her newest album. More recently though, we’ve had the chance to absorb the whole of The Refinery, a stunning collection of eleven new songs written by Grace. Songs about love, personal growth, struggle, life, and change take the listener through soulful, poetic, pop-infused jams. The music is produced and mixed to perfection, making for a fluid and enjoyable listening experience. My personal favorites off of the album include “As Long as I Run” and “We All Need Someone,” but watch her perform the epic ballad “Till I Hurt You” in the video below that premiered on Team Coco. Tickets to her show tomorrow night are sure to sell out soon, so you’ll want to grab them right here, right NOW. See you there!
