Legendary country music singer/songwriter Willie Nelson may implore fans to “Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die,” but at the rate he’s going, they’ll be waiting on that toke for a long, long time.
This fact was never more evident than at the inaugural Buckle Up Music Festival, held July 18-20 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Thousands of fans braved the elements to take in more than 90 country, folk and bluegrass acts over three days. The 81-year old Nelson headlined the event, which also featured Nashville legends Alabama, Emmylou Harris and Marty Stuart, as well as established country acts Old Crow Medicine Show, Eli Young Band, and Allison Krauss and Union Station.
