Mary Lambert has a secret—and she wants everyone to hear it.
The candy-voiced 25-year-old Seattle native just released the irresistibly catchy “Secrets,” the first single from her debut full-length album “Heart On My Sleeve,” due out October 14th on Capitol Records.
“’Secrets’ might be the first fun song I’ve ever written,” Lambert said in a press release issued earlier today through the LA-based record label. And fun it is, with Lambert celebrating her various quirks—including bi-polar tendencies, her love of mom jeans, cat earrings and other miscellany—and saying “So what?” to those who might judge her for them.
With a message that will undoubtedly connect with young fans of her music and an addictive and repetitive hook, this track is destined for relentless pop radio air play, which can mean only one thing: Mary Lambert is a secret no more.
