Black Morrison is a street album from Hip Hop producer Spencer Bonds. This will be a series of albums with some of his favorite samples from Jim Morrison, The Doors and other musical inspirations. He released it online and offline July 4th.
The album features great samples, unique beats, and as the name suggests–plenty of inspiration from Morrison’s music. Bonds’ production is excellent and the album showcases a mix of styles and songwriting that’s really impressive. Fans of most types of hip-hop will love Black Morrison, plus–the album isn’t short on music, with 18 tracks to take in. My personal favorites are “Run Off,” “BLKNBLU,” “Warman,” “The Otherside,” and “Thicker Than Water.”
